Derwentwater Boats, Lake District

I almost didn't want to get out of the car due to gale force winds and horizontal rain, but I had wanted to get a shot of these boats on the shore of Derwentwater near Keswick for a long time! It had to be a quick handheld 'point and shoot' as within seconds the raindrops were covering my filters. Even though it wasn't ideal conditions, I do love the atmosphere in this, with the mist and clouds swirling around Catbells in the distance. Even the poor duck in the foreground was trying its best to find shelter!
