Saddleworth Viaduct, Pennine Hills

Saddleworth is an area comprising a collection of villages on the Lancashire-Yorkshire border, with quaint stone villages nestled in the valleys and vast moorland above. It's a lovely area and I may be biased as it’s where I grew up! Two main features of the Saddleworth landscape from its industrial heritage are captured in this image; the trans-Pennine railway and the Huddersfield Narrow Canal, both historically important in the transport of goods over the moors.
