Piran Dawn
An early morning alarm woke me to get up for the sunrise in the picturesque coastal town of Piran. Whilst the sunset didn't bring much, I enjoyed photographing the harbour and Tartini Square at dawn with its twinkling lights. The town lies on Slovenia's short stretch of coastline along the Adriatic Sea and Croatia can be seen to the south. Once owned and used as a port for several centuries by the Venetians, walking around the town you could easily think you were in Venice, with its narrow cobbled twisty streets!
