Staying at Hacienda Cusin high up in the Ecuadorian Andes near the town of Otavalo, I had a wonderful view of the Imbabura Volcano, which gives its name to the surrounding region and last erupted in 5550 BC. The 400 year old hacienda is a fine example of a traditional Spanish colonial estate and was a delight to stay in.
